The indigenous talent of creating unique and clean carpet gowns and costumes has pulled Lahore based fashion designer Zaheer Abbas at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2011 Lahore where he showcased his thematic collection entitled “Rise and Fall” that has drawn inspiration from a verse of legendary Poet Allama Iqbal’s couplet “sitaron say agay jahan aur bhi hain” [Beyond the stars, there is more yet].
Zaheer Abbas latest collection at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2011 Lahore contains western tailoring lines and bold atelier shapes that are magnificently created for both men and women aimed to persuade futuristic and modern expressions in them. It is the complex pleating in Zaheer Abbas latest collection that has signified the “Fall and Rise” through 3D surface forming fabric. Fashion designer Zaheer Abbas collection at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2011 Lahore includes fabric like raw silks and chiffon in commendable hues of ice blue, grey, navy blue and maroon about which Zaheer Abbas himself says, “Sometimes fashion can take strange turns and it’s essential to move with time. The Inspiration comes from my imagination to frame fashion according to future, moving slowly towards it, keeping present in mind is what I presented this time”. Best known for his sober cuts and simple designs, Zaheer Abbas launched his label in April 2010 banging as amateur designer at Fashion Pakistan Week 2.
